“Networking with nearly 1,000 secure data destruction professionals from all over the country and the world will open a lot of doors,” said Mr. Isham. “I’ve had the good fortune of attending the expo for the last ten years and have benefitted greatly from the relationships forged there – people like to do business with those they know and trust.”
The three-day event contained an exhibit hall boasting the newest technology and also offered 25 hours of industry education. “The safety of our clients is always top-of-mind, so when you attend the NAID expo, you are eager to take advantage of various educational sessions the conference provides,” added Isham. “By attending every year, not only do I stay current about potential data risks and get to share what I learn with our customers and colleagues, but, as a Certified Secure Destruction Specialist, I also benefit professionally by earning credits required to remain accredited.”
Topics discussed at the 2018 conference ranged from the management of archived records to the importance of verifying the sanitation methods utilized in the destruction of electronic data. Next year’s event, to be held in Aurora, Colorado, will mark the 25th anniversary of the conference’s inception.
