In Los Angeles, the City of Cars, most everyone has had their share of parking altercations. But in Phantom’s new video about peer-to-peer parking app, Pavemint, a heated argument may just end in true love.
Created with Valentine’s Day in mind, “Parking in LA” is a new parody music video which features choreography from Emmy Award winner Kathryn Burns, and cameos from film and television stars such as HGTV’s “Property Brothers” Drew and Jonathan Scott, KTLA’s Liberte Chan, and Rawle D. Lewis of “Cool Runnings,” as well as local Los Angeles icons Angelyne and Clipper Darrell, and social media superstars Rebecca Zamolo and Matt Yoakum, Sunny Mabrey, Brittany Furlan, Elton Castee, Cody Walker, Aaron Doh, and the Darnit Family.
In celebration, Pavemint is kicking off a 14-day extension to the Golden Ticket Giveaway initiative they championed over the holidays. Starting February 14th and going through February 28th, Pavemint will pay one person’s City of Los Angeles parking ticket every day (up to $250 each). To enter, contestants should follow Pavemint on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, then write about their parking story with the hashtag #PavemintGoldenTicket. Contestants can also tag friends for additional entries. Winners will be announced daily via Pavemint’s social media accounts.
Pavemint’s iOS and web marketplace connect people looking for parking with residents and business owners who have spaces to share. The app, which launched on October 3rd in Los Angeles, has over 4,000 peer-to-peer spaces in areas found to have the most difficult parking.
The Pavemint platform allows residents or business owners (“Hosts”) to list their spare parking space(s), which can then be rented by other users in need of a place to park (“Guests”). Hosts can download the free app or log in to the web dashboard to list their space in minutes, with full control over availability, rates and a number of other customizable parameters. Guests can seek out and reserve parking as far as 12 months in advance or search for available, nearby parking on demand. The app makes it easy to compare real-time prices, read reviews and get walk times to Guests’ final destinations, so they can find the perfect space for their needs, all while generating Hosts substantial revenue and reducing the traffic and CO2 emissions caused by traditional parking.
Pavemint invites all Angelenos to save their loved ones from future tickets this Valentine’s Day with the gift of free parking. Use the promo code PARKINGLOVE for $100 credit on the Pavemint iOS app, and start Arriving Happier.
