LEAD1 Association to Host Coaches’ Compensation Webinar

The LEAD1 Association, which represents the athletic directors of the 130-member schools of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), will host a webinar for LEAD1 members on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. ET to discuss coaches’ compensation, performance bonuses, and buyout insurance.

Topics that will be discussed during the 60-minute presentation include:

  • High fixed salaries
  • Variable pay
  • Small performance bonuses relative to the size of fixed salaries
  • Large buyouts
  • Sustainable compensation models, including third-party insurance financing

The experts joining the webinar are Jared Benko, Deputy AD/CFO, Mississippi State University; Eric George, Associate AD/CFO, Clemson University; Will Hall, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Game Point Capital; and Jack Woodbury, Managing Director, Prize and Promotion Insurance.
