Whether it’s a meal, clothing item or camera, the automated locker system makes it more convenient for customers to place and pick up their order.

Meridian and HP unveiled a fully customizable automated locker system in New York City during the National Retail Federation’s Big Show last month.

The automated locker system is designed to improve customer satisfaction across the retail and hospitality industries with self-service order retrieval. The locker system provides a simple three step process that allows customers to place their order online or using a mobile application. Once the order is fulfilled, the employee places the completed order in the locker. The customer then scans their QR code to open the appropriate locker containing their prepaid item. “Whether it’s a meal, clothing item or camera, the automated locker system makes it more convenient for customers to place and pick up their order,” said Meridian CEO, Chris Gilder.

Meridian and HP developed the automated locker system with a focus on creating a product that can be customized to fit the aesthetic of various settings. The automated locker offers optional LED lighting, custom locker surrounds, multiple locker box sizes, custom height and width and a modular design for custom configurations. “To excel in the fast-paced kiosk technology industry, you need forward-thinking partners with creative ideas and proven expertise,” said Meridian CEO, Chris Gilder. “We’re excited to showcase another great innovation done in partnership with HP.

More than 35,000 retail industry professionals attended the Big Show which took place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City from January 14th to January 16th.
